The Other Art Fair - Melbourne
MELBOURNE | NAARM
30 January – 2 February 2025The Timber Yard, Port Melbourne
Experience-seekers, this one’s for you. We’re reframing art and how you experience it. Save now on weekend tickets—book by 29 January.
Presented by SaatchiArt.com, the world’s leading online art gallery, we’re a global gathering of creative thinkers, game changers and pleasure seekers sharing emerging talent and unforgettable experiences. Set against the backdrop of the world’s biggest cities, each of our fairs is different. We combine boundary-pushing yet always affordable works with immersive installations, performances and the odd tattoo or taxidermy class thrown in for good measure.Art isn’t confined to convention or rule, and how you enjoy it shouldn’t be either.
A place where art feels accessible, where everyone fits in, where the experience exists outside of four white walls and the same four artists?
That’s not normal. That’s The Other Art Fair. -

Sol Gallery - Window exhibit
While making this piece 'Gatherer', I found myself drawn to the expressive potential of hands cradled by angular folds of fabric. As I worked, these hands at the centre of my composition naturally commanded more detail and emerged as a thematic focal point. This process deepened my appreciation that an essence resides in the actions and gestures of our hands. The subtlety of hair, merely suggested through the polish on the copper, along with intentionally vague and lifting facial details, also encourages viewers to look beyond the individual.
